TextBait makes one kind of thing: a plain tee with one short line on the chest. Small enough that it's for the person reading it up close, not the whole room.
Most slogan tees are written by guessing. The jokes come from meme pages, so the same ten lines end up on every shelf, and the people they're meant for have long stopped saying them. Indian office workers almost never write “do the needful” to each other. Gen Z barely says “pookie”.
So we start by reading. For each corner of Indian life we make tees for, we collect what people actually write to each other: on forums, in comment threads, in the places they talk when nobody's selling them anything. We look for the phrases they use far more than everyone else, the pains, rituals and in-jokes, and write from those.
Then we cut. Every line has to read in two seconds, still be worth wearing the tenth time, and not be something we found already on sale. Of 1,200 lines drafted, 24 made this first drop.
